To Everything There is a Season

To everything there is a season.  (Ecc 3:1)

We at Hazel’s House are coming into a new season. We will still be located in the neighborhood, we will still minister to the neighborhood, but it will be more of a one on one approach.  It is our belief that Jesus spoke to the multitudes, but he ministered to the one.  This will be our approach.

To be perfectly honest, we are tired, both Dan & I, and Jacob and Amara are spent.  We have spent the last 5 years on the front lines of a spiritual battle.  We’re tired, beat up, and need to tend to our personal lives.  Our children are growing before our eyes, and we will be taking time to focus on family.

Jacob & Amara came into this ministry with two babies.  Norah was less than one-year-old when they joined the Hazel’s House team as interns.  Not only that, they have taken custody of their son Nathan, who is a senior in high school.  They want to be there for their children, and these important moments.  Jacob & Amara have been there for Dan & I.  They have laughed with us, cried with us, and held our arms up when we’ve wanted to give up.  We thank God for bringing them to us.

Dan & I have had custody of Freddie for 3 ½ years now.  He is growing into a smart, athletic, happy boy, but recently he has been dealing with trauma.  In the spring we attended a prophetic conference, and God showed us that Freddie is VERY gifted, and it is our responsibility to nurture those gifts.  We were also ministered to and given a revelation into is deformity.  The enemy knew that Freddie would be a hearer & a seer, and he tried to take that away.  The reality is it only intensifies the gift.

We will be opening the house on the hilltop for victims of human trafficking, and are excited to serve those women.  They have been used, abused, raped, beaten, and left for dead.  We want to bring them back to life.

Watch for the grand opening.

The Sunbury House will continue to serve the “widows & orphans” through caring for pregnant women.  These babies truly are the “least of these”.

God has brought us full circle, back to what was my original dream to serve women.  We are becoming more focused on the plan that God has for us, and fine tuning the call.  We thank all of you who support us, and what God is doing.  The harvest is great, and YOU share in that harvest.  Thank you for answering the call of God to give.

With that being said, in other areas we are growing.  We have purchased an additional lot on Morrill to expand our territory & enlarge our yard.  We are also in the process of create a “for profit” to sustain the non profit.  These are areas that we feel God is directing.

Phillipians 3:12  It’s not that I’ve already reached the goal or have already completed the course. But I run to win that which Jesus Christ has already won for me. Brothers and sisters, I can’t consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don’t look back, I lengthen my stride, and I run straight toward the goal to win the prize that God’s heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus.
