It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

thanksgiving

For us here at Hazel’s House this is our favorite time of year.

Thanksgiving week Jacob & Amara delivered Thanksgiving baskets to the neighborhood.  The joy on the faces of families who would otherwise not have had that turkey meal.

“Thank you so much! It was unexpected and GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! You guys are so wonderful. I really         don’t know if y’all know exactly how many people you touch with all the kind things you do! Thank you thank you thank you!!! We may not say it enough but we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!”

We cannot do these things without YOU!  Each life that is touched, well you have a part in it.  Thank you to everyone who donated food, money, time, effort & energy.  You are the real heroes.  Jake & Amara-you ROCK!

Now on to Christmas.  As is our tradition we will be delivering Christmas food baskets to our neighbors, as well as toys to those kiddos.  I remember our first Christmas seeing a teenage boy walking down our street with the hat on that was in his basket.  I asked if he got that in his food basket, and he said no, it was his Christmas present from his parents.  That hat in that basket was all he got for Christmas.  Can you imagine?

So how can you help?

We are in need of the following:  hams, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, macaroni & cheese, bags of fruit, rolls…everything to make that Christmas dinner.  In addition we are looking for hats, gloves, socks & unwrapped toys.  We will be delivering the food in tubs, and toys in large bicycle gift bags.  If you’re out shopping, how about picking up a few?

This is our largest impact in our neighborhood, and it’s all because of you.  The deadline for donations of food items & toys is December 17th.  For drop off, and questions contact Amara @614-679-7394.

Monetary donations may be here online, or mailed to:

Hazel’s House of Hope, PO Box 7, Sunbury OH 43074.

Again, thank you for making dreams come true.

Merry Christmas & a Blessed New Year!

You call it a donation, we call it love in motion.
