Be Careful What You Post on Facebook

By | March 24, 2015

Yesterday I posted on my personal Facebook page that I was somehow connected to 6 girls who had died from heroin overdoses in the past month or so.  That then turned into an interview with the news.  Trust me I am in no way an expert.  I talk to the people in my neighborhood, users, sellers, those trying t0 kick the habit.  When there are 20 deaths due to heroin overdoses and I am personally connected to 6.  When I have friends crying because life long friends have died, sisters have died, best friends have died, I have to speak up.

An addict is always an addict, no matter how long they’ve been clean.  Several of the girls who’ve died recently had been clean, in recovery, working the programs, in process of getting their children back, and they relapsed, one time, and now they are dead.

We can’t help someone unless their ready, but what can we do to help the process????  Here’s what I’m doing, I’m talking.  Click the link below, talk to friends, pray, do anything to help get the word out.  PEOPLE ARE DYING, THE NEXT MIGHT BE YOUR FRIEND.
